Blessings as we move into 2020. We are in the season of Epiphany – a time when we reflect on how the light of God offers new understanding and insight. During worship on January 12, “star words” were given out. A star word is an invitation for reflection. It offers a lens for paying attention to how the Spirit of God is at work in our lives. The words are printed on wooden stars and the invitation is to keep the star word in one’s pocket, or wallet, or taped to a bathroom mirror, or beside your bed – and to use that word to ponder how the concept or action has been part of our daily lives. If you were not in church on Jan 12th (the weather meant a smaller crowd), there are still lots of star words available (each one is different). You can come in to the office to get one, or send me an email and I will reach into the bag and let you know your word. As we live in days and weeks, may we have 2020 vision as we seek God’s energy and love at work in our lives. And I would encourage finding ways to share with one another how your star word has spoken to you.
