The season of Easter carries through the month of May. Easter is not so much a date on the calendar, but experiences of wonder, assurance and hope. One of the ways that Riverside will continue to experience the wonder of Easter is through Project Easter Butterfly. Thanks to the generosity of a donor, $2000 has been donated and divided into 100 envelopes. With each $20, there is a challenge to do some act of kindness for someone else. There are still envelopes available and we would like to collect the stories of how kindness and goodness was shared and spread. So, the challenge is do something that will make a loving difference in the world and in lots of small ways Easter will happen. If you didn’t get an envelope on Easter Sunday, they are available in the office or at church on May 5th.
Another Easter activity is an Emmaus Walking Group – Wednesday mornings – May 1st to June 5th at 9am. A time to walk and talk together, followed by fruit, coffee and tea at the church.
