Paul Dillman

Minister

Paul has been in ministry at Riverside since July 2003. He spent 17 years in ministry in Saskatchewan and is originally from Nova Scotia. Paul’s spouse is Elizabeth Bryce and they have 3 young adult children. He loves having discussions about faith and how it nourishes and connects with our lives.

In his spare time, enjoys curling at Carleton Heights Curling Club and walking in the neighbourhood.  He also is a keen fan of the Ottawa Senators, Ottawa 67’s, Toronto Blue Jays and the Saskatchewan Rough Riders.

Louise Madaire

Office Administrator

Born at the General hospital, Louise grew up in Aylmer QC, daughter of a French Canadian father and a British mother, and with seven siblings. Semi-retired from her career as a civil servant, she continues her community work both within the United Church and around town. Lou is very active in volunteer activities, some of which include; the United Church Living Right Relations, Project of Heart, and the Kairos Building Bridges Conference. City for All Women Initiative (CAWI).

Louise has one grown son, Vincent Madaire Cullen, who is married and has moved to St John New Brunswick with his wife and 2 kids. She is a “fake Gradma” to her nephew’s family who live in Bell’s Corners.

Lou transferred her membership from Northwestern United Church (Kitchissippi) in 2013.

Wayne Irschick

Organist, Music Director

Montreal-born, Wayne is a seasoned musician with some 45 years of experience teaching piano, theory, and composition. During that time, he has included 22 years as music director in several churches. A composer of over 100 works, his love of choral music is reflected in his compositional output. Wayne is also collaborative pianist with Ottawa violinist, Anna Baksheeva.

Cat La Force

Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator

Cat is excited to be the Riverside United Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator. Cat is the mother of Dalphina and Leo, you can catch them on Sundays dancing at the front of the Sanctuary by the piano.

Cat is an active member of our congregation as well as a Sparks leader, TOPS member and sits on our Christian Development Committee – All at the church! She enjoys an active family life, volunteering, being outdoors, creative expression, dancing, upcycling, learning new things and coffee time with friends to name a few.
